Why Buzz Believed He Was A Real Space Ranger- Toy Story Explained

Hey howdy hey! how is everybody doing and welcome back to Disney Daily!

In the first Toy Story one of the aspects that made the movie both funny and memorable, was Buzz's wholehearted believe that he was in fact a real space ranger. Whose purpose was to destroy the evil Emperor Zurg.

Buzz believed he was some sort of superhero there to save the day. While Woody on the other hand, knew his place as a toy and was perplexed by Buzz’s behavior. For years, I have wondered why did Buzz believe he was an actual space ranger and not a child’s plaything? Well today we explore that answer with another one of my theories!

I have a somewhat similar theory concerning buzz light year. I personally believe that he was too well manufactured. Because he was made in a factory with very little human interaction, and based upon a marketed franchise to boot, He spent a lot of time alone in his own head with his own thoughts, thinking of himself as resembling a space ranger so much that he couldn’t possibly be anything else but a space ranger.

Was watching Toy Story 4. And seeing Forky think he was trash after Coming to life made me think “Does this hint at why buzz thought he was a real space ranger……

I think it's confirmed that only the Buzz toys in this universe are the only ones who think they're actually a space ranger

Ya know, if he really was a real one he'd be known as the next flying bike from the flying scene in E.T. in Toy Story 1 with Woody & the rc car😂😂 oh I love the music. New for me bc I'm back. I kind of always thought that Buzz was programed to think he was a space ranger when he was created in the factory. I wonder if his batteries ever run out? I know RC's batteries ran out during the chase scene.

Most of my toys were just Star Wars and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures, as well as Lego. I think my favorite would have been Lego. I used to spend so much time doing that.

And when I was really young I had two stuffed animals: a frog and a puppy that I couldn't go to bed without and always took on vacations.

If Buzz was a robot toy it would have made sense to believe he was the real deal, but as a human character how can he not tell that his suit is actually his body?

My favorite toys when I was a kid were definitely superhero action figures. I grew up in a comic book household me and my sister had that stuff drilled into us since day 1. 23 years later I’m still addicted to the stuff. But not just any superhero toys. I had specific favorites I had a Raven Action figure from teen titans that I loved. I had a vision action figure from the avengers which I also loved and I had a Tigra who was another character from marvel which I got and loved and these 3 toys were like the 3 I always played with the most. I wanna say vision was my first favorite toy because that’s one of the earliest memories I have as a kid when me and my parents were on vacation they got me this toy to play with on the trip when I got bored. Also I always loved collecting Pokémon toys

Well I’m still growing but my favorite toy right now would be LEGOS or Star Wars themed stuff (even though I’m thirteen) but when I was younger like 6-10 years old I loved toy animals like horses or wolves. Love the theory!
