PHIL Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is going to wish he never got involved with Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin).

The EastEnders cast member could find himself taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit.

Last week, Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) approached DI Franklin and offered to snitch on Phil over the botched New Year's Day heist.

Tonight, Vincent continued to try and worm his way out of his involvement with the illegal activities and produced an incriminating voice message.

But that wasn't enough for the police inspector.

Police had found Luke Browning's (Adam Astill) body, after be went missing months before.

Luke was last seen being shoved in the back of a van by Aidan's henchmen on Phil's orders.

But little did Phil know, Aidan had him killed.

Walford police now think Phil was behind Luke's demise and they're offering Vincent cash to snitch on him.

EastEnders fans were left wondering what happened to Luke for months.

The soap didn't give a clue that he might be dead until Aidan came armed with a box of his teeth.

Phil got hold of the box and poured them out, which caused Aidan to flee Walford in fear of being sent back to jail.

With Aidan gone, could Phil get sent to prison for a murder he didn't commit?

EastEnders viewers certainly believe so.

"Vincent is going to try and get info to link Phil to Luke's death but will he just cause more trouble for himself," one fan tweeted.

Another added: "Vincent will get killed off, then Phil will pay for what he has done."

And a third said: "So that's the story then, Phil sent to prison for a few months."

EastEnders continues tomorrow night at 7:30pm on BBC1.
