There are, and will be many jam videos from this event, but I think this one is a little unique. Like all my jams this is less focused on the moves and more about the people, the social aspects and the friendships. The cardistry community is such a tightly knit community where almost everyone are friends, and I tried to show that with this.
I tried to follow what I did in my previous works like Blackpool 2010, the 2012 Magic-Con video and last year's New York jam, and this is the result. I think of it more like a small movie/short film than a jam video. I went for a new look which is a more filmic and warm look. I think it suits the film really well. It gives it some texture and makes it warm and visually appealing.
As always, I've tried to shoot it using a lot of candid shots and by giving you a perspective you don't usually see. The majority of the footage is not from the con itself, but from the jams, hang-outs and parties that happened after hours or in the days after the convention itself was over.
Thank you SO much to everyone that appears in this video. I'm so proud of it and I hope you are, too!
Music titles can be found in the end credits.
