Very interesting - this is apparently a dead end youtube - not reviewed in awhile. The speaker seems to make authoritative allegations. The purpose is to encourage buying the book to get the rest of the story. But it may be instructive to understand that pharoah succession wasn't always squeaky clean... easy. About a 150 years before this female king, king Tut came to power. He was brief and somewhat insignificant ruler... But his father Amenhoptep IV (later Akhenaten), turned the kingdom upside down by along other initiatives - 1) moved the capital city (to a brand new desert location) and 2) changed to official religion of Egypt from pantheon to monotheism -- or his emphasis was so great on the 1 god Aten that all others paled. Anyway, he took to scraping his fathers face off of the statues representing Amenhotep III, his father... Of course, king Tut would be guided by the priestly class that had been displaced by Akhenaten... and reversed course BACK to the previous capital -- and eventually many of Akhenaten's monuments were defaced. Long way to say that a ruler could have been reviled or undermined for reasons other than gender. We'll have to read the book to know for sure.
