The first step is to shut off the water supply to your toilet then flush your toilet. Place a bucket or pail underneath the toilet tank Next sponge out the remaining water in the toilet tank. Disconnect the water supply line. Locate and remove all old nuts, bolts and washers from the toilet tank. Attach bolts, rubber washers, washers and hex nuts. Tighten the bolts in an alternating fashion to ensure proper seal on the red sponge gasket. Make sure to not over tighten the bolts doing so may cause the porcelain the crack then reconnect the water supply line turn on the water supply and let your tank fill completely and flush.
