As someone that has a world that has been corrupted twice, and saved by toycats advice, you really should back up your world.

When I read the title I was so sad. I thought the whole world was genuinely completely gone. Good that you have back ups, bug still, this sucks. The real furnace house is the friends we made along the way.

The good part is that they will do a "fix toycat's world" update.

This is why I back up my worlds after each session. It may seem excessive but I’ve lost a couple worlds in the past and don’t want to risk it.

Man I love this guy he is stone cold nuts. The tangents he gets into of even far more complex situations just to try to describe a far more simple situation is amazing lol. Trying to explain the importance of backing up and making saves goes into the complexities of public transportation, the environment, to petty theft and crime, to national collective surveillance vs personal security lol. Love it.

thankyou toycat, i maually backed up my world for the first time because of this video then the same issue happened to me so im so glad i had a backup only hours before i got corrupted world

thanks for sharing this toycat, I'm starting a long-term world (Had it for about 9 months now, and planning on having it for a long time) and I also use mine on a realm. It's been literal ages since I've backed it up, thanks so much for reminding me :)

It could be a sensitive bug because if griefers find out they could place specific blocks in a specific pattern they can go onto servers and make those patterns as much as they like.

It could be sensitive "because we say so" and the bug can't be replicated by normal gameplay.

This happened to my world after the Nether Update, just be glad u can still play it, mine was gone forever &wouldn't even load

I've played Bedrock or Pocket edition for as long as I've been playing Minecraft, and have had exactly two corruption issues. It was with my long-term creative world, and one day it suddenly just started crashing. Fortunately, I somehow discovered a fix on my own - created a new world, deleted the db folder from it, and pasted in the db folder from the corrupted world. It worked perfectly well, except there were a lot of weird chunk borders since I was basically pasting the chunks from my old world onto a different seed. The exact same issue happened a second time on the same world not long after, and I fixed it the same way. Then, much later, I used a worldedit program to get rid of the ugly chunk borders. This was all probably 2-3 years ago now.

the day after candles were added to bedrock, my playststion 4 became unusable- even when the memory was wiped. at the time time, the thing was 15 months old.

I have a world that is roughly the same age as yours and i never had this issue
The only real issue was the game generated ruined portals in 8 year old chunks and floating leaves above oceans
