Here's a very easy way to make the speakers fit. In the speaker pocket where the built in wire relief is, carefully use a screw driver or a utility knife and press against the plastic around the edges of the wire relief to push them down and enlarge it enough so the speaker tab will fit into the relief. The plastic will bend fairly easily. Drop the speaker in the pocket. I carefully pulled the foam off the helmet liner that covers the speaker, then the liner snapped in perfectly!

Just got a new 10R ( not SMH) which comes with some round, squishy foam spacers which have Velcro fur on one side and Velcro hooks on the other. These can be used to alleviate the fitment issues discussed in the video. New 20S might have these, but I can't be sure.

Alternative method using these squishy spacers (no need to modify speakers):
1. Affix thin, sticky velcro "hook" pad to speaker cutouts inside of helmet
2. Velcro medium or thick squishy "velcro&foam" spacers to that hook pad in speaker cutout (hooked surface should be facing outward so that they stick to helmet cutout)
3. Pull foam covers which go over speakers as far over the speakers as possible and press speakers to the hook side of the squishy spacers. Foam speaker covers should grab onto hook side of spacers

This isn't going to win any stiction awards, but it is enough such that once the cheekpads go back in, they hold the speakers well enough to stop them from moving around. The spacers also help to press the speakers towards your ears to give better audio.

I was really hoping to see how you hide the wires

Thank you for showing this. I have Shoei Neotec 2 with a Sena SMH5-FM comm's set and the soft foam cover do not clip on when the speakers are install in the cut outs, however, I was able to place them over the speakers with out clipping them as the surrounding foam prevents movement of the padding so that will be my solution for now.

Thanks so very much! bought a Sena 20S for my RF1200 and I hate manuals, so your video did the trick for a moron like me! sorry to say I sold my FJR1300 and bought a K1200GT.... I wanted the lower centre of gravity... loved the FJR but I had trouble keeping it upright on really slow tight corners to turns, and I'm 6-3 !! plus the seat sucks and the ugly aftermarket one I bough was really too wide and looked extra ugly, , , , should have bough t Laam like you recommended

It's to bad they do not fit. The 1200 is a great helmet however it fits snug without speakers that will not fit into the recesses. I can only imagine with the speakers sticking out because they do not fit can only rub the riders ears to much. And your right, hiding the wires may be the hard part. all the more reason to show us how you did the wires.

Thanks for this. I've got an RF-1200 and was looking for a video that showed the 20S with it.

I would like to see how the heck you get the left side padding back on after the Sena is mounted!

You can modify the speakers. I took the black ring covering it, scissored it off. Now the speakers perfectly in my rf1200 pockets.

I'm not sure which sena I have but I just got a shoei rf-sr and surface mounted them because I didn't realize there was a cut away at all and they hurt my ears when I put the helmet on. The helmet fits well but surface mounting there is definitely not an option.

Thank you for the great video. I am using a Shoei GT air and just installed the headphones which fit great in the stock setup, perhaps the GT air has different dimensions than the rf. thanks again.

i have the 10r and the RF1200... having trouble getting the cheek pad back in without crimping the wires too much... hate to do it but looks like i'll have to cut a hole in the rubber part to get the wires under the cheek pad... any suggestions? already have crackling in the wires. the cheel pad really cant be installed as it came??

Bryan- why did you use the boom mike instead of the included fixed mike, on a closed helmet?  Durability? Curious. Thanks for the video.
