Basically you've single handedly created a TED Talk for the outcasts. Tremendous respect to you for getting these stories out to the world, and of course to every individual who've candidly shared their life-story on this channel. Thank you Mark!

As an addict in recovery, that was also homeless, and lost everything… thank you. Thank you for showing people that we too are human.

I'm an ER nurse and I have witnessed alot of unfathomable tragedy. Thank you for letting these people speak and for humanizing them.

This should be required curriculum in every sociology, psychology, police academy in the country. A fascinating, revealing, true & heartbreaking series that needs more acclaim. And Netflix to reach everyone. Much respect Mark.

I cried when you said, "better parents for the next generation." I'm a broken child and I'm 27. Trauma really does things to kids and makes them damaged adults. Life is very hard for me. I feel I'm stuck on being a vulnerable 6-year-old and I always wished parents would be more careful with children. A broken society is just made out of a cycle of broken children, I believe. Thank you for your work.

I am a psychiatric nurse and I've watched many of your videos, the most common dominator I've noticed is the breakdown of the family and how fragile the children become.

Having a good childhood is the key to damn near everything in life.

I am a social worker from Germany and I am simply amazed by this channel and the concept. Raw, authentic, real, human! The world with its shallowness needs this!!!

I like the fact he takes a back seat in these interviews. No interrupting, no judging etc.

When I first saw the title Soft White Underbelly I immediately thought of an animal like a pet, they do not show you this vulnerable part of them until trust, love and loyalty is earned from gentleness and patience. This part that is hidden and sensitive but needs to be loved and nurtured. I am glad to see that you care and are someone willing to sit/work with the ones society has thrown out. Found you about a year ago and appreciate what you do. Thanks!

There is a homeless man that walks by my house with his dog. I help him out because Mark has inspired me not to JUDGE.

As a person that is breaking a generational curse of drug abuse all I can say is that I love your channel. I can’t stress just telling people that you love and miss them is all it takes.

Mark....I never comment on anyone's posts I really dislike social media in general but your videos are truly eye opening and they are a crash course in empathy. I just want to say how gracious and respectful you are to your interviewees. You are kind, patient and give them the space to tell their stories how ever tragic and heart breaking. Thank you for channel and bringing lite to this problem. I wish you and your team the best.

Mark I don’t know if you’ll read this but I’m almost 20, and I’ve watched damn near every video of yours. It’s made me realize how my childhood has affected my upbringing. I haven’t done drugs, or drink. Simply because I’ve seen it take away my family members.
I’m in school to be a mortician because of the family I’ve lost. Thank you for giving these people a platform to talk.

This channel reminds me of my years driving Uber full time.. I completed over 10, 000 rides, and I'll never forget some of those people.. so many places i would have never seen.. and people I would have never met.. or gotten to know 1 on 1 in an intimate space, where mutual trust in involved, and time is invested be it 5 min or 2 hours.. I like to think of those years spent not on "driving uber" but instead, I "took people home".. there's a difference to me.

Much love Mark ❤️

You're doing the work that our leadership refuses to. I and many others, are grateful beyond measure for these stories, and I will be following your channel closely to learn how to help these people in the most fitting way specific to them. Thank you.
