The Sights in Greece's Saronic Gulf | Ep. 62

We left off having just transited the Corinth Canal so we pick up in the Saronic Gulf. We knew nothing about this area until about two weeks ago when we looked at our timeline and realized we had a couple weeks to work with before having to be in Mykonos in the center of the Cycladic Islands of Greece.

We visit a couple places on the Peloponnese Peninsula – we particularly loved the area called Old Epidavtor or ‘Palaia Epidavtor’ for the number of ancient sites one can easily see in a short visit. The anchorage is lovely and the town quaint.

Next we anchor in a cove along the southern coast of the small island of Agistri, in the center of the Saronic Gulf. The snorkeling here was wonderful and the cove was a nature-lover’s paradise.

Our final stop of this episode is the island of Paros, just off of the Peloponnese Peninsula. This is a not-to-be-missed destination.

Our next video will take us into the Cycladic Islands, specifically Kilimnos, Rinia and Mykonos.
