I’m glad you enjoyed this setup. Sounds like great quality.

Just shows you if you can go to audio stores to listen to different speakers you can find some real gems for working people money. I'm still listening to a pair of Infinity I bought in 1996! Good video.

I’m rocking a set of Atlantic Technology 270THX series from the same era that look very similar to your speakers that are absolutely phenomenal. Picked them up from EBay and a peddler’s mall for a fraction of the cost they were new. They will blow your head off, while remaining crystal clear. Pairing them with an Onkyo A/V receiver and a SVS 2000 sub. Ain’t no shame to my game. Sound should be what impresses people not the cost of the system. Good on you for showcasing these old school gems.

Maaaan!! I still remember when I had my old KLH 5.1 home theater speakers. Sounded so good. That’s actually what got me into home theater.

My main speakers are Yamaha NS670 from 1979 and Infinity SL40 from around 96!! All my other modern speakers don't touch them.

Still rocking the 7.1 variant of this today. Mixed the subwoofer up as it is the weak link like you said, but always though of upgrading, with that being said, probably rock them for a little longer!

I know why…
Because they are Onkyo!
I have a set of Onyko, Liverpool speakers, that I purchased in 1975-76, during my 1st trip to Okinawa Japan. They still deliver the best sound in my theater room, alone or with anything I ever set them up with. Onkyo was producing the highest quality speakers on the planet during those and many years following. I wish I knew then what I know know about this company’s integrity. They had it going on and I’m still enjoying better response, sound quality than I can expect from Any of the speaker brands that I have tried, and there are many. This Onkyo Liverpool set is by far the quality of speakers I wish I could find in anything on the market that I have wasted thousands of dollars on, seeking close to what seems to be no less than perfect!

1997 to 2004 was the High Quality audio gear for Home Theater and Car Audio. But Car Audio was Very Good quality now everything made Cheap and has problems.

"This price point" is the key phrase. $279 in 2004 would be $465 in 2024. I'm sure there are many in this price that are better.

I am pretty sure I almost bought these speakers back in the day, but went with an insignia flat panel speaker package instead that was terrible. I wish I would’ve got these! Oh well, my system is probably even better than them now.

Thank you for doing this video. I'm just starting to get into home theater. I just bot Polk t15 speakers. I enjoyed your video on them. So I thought ill start with them. Are your thoughts on the Polk series still the same? Or are these better?

What you Decide for the OSD Trevoce 15 or FS12? I finally got Dune 2 sounding good using LFE cable at 80 HZ on the Trevoce 12s and Onkyo THX Atmos receiver. Subwoofer plays best at 40% Volume, Knob Gain.

Perhaps I missed it, and apologies if I did, but I don't recall hearing what model of Onkyo speakers you're hyping. It'd be great to hear which specific model you're lauding....please let me know. Again, apologies if I missed it during the video.

Am I the only one not knowing what the brand and model is? I didn't hear it :(

Well, first of all if you are rewieving speakers playing a song that you don't know how it supposed to sound than how do you know that is sounds good?!!! That simply gaslighting. Not to mention that low low budget home theater speakers from 2004 sound great is simply bonkers... I can tell that you are simply impresses by the amount of bass they produce... That's not necessary good... btw judging the speakers based on the highly compressed YouTube codec they sound boomy and hollow with harsh upper range.
