Im an apple fan for over 7 years but now phones such as asus, huawei make iphone seem like an overpriced scam . Since huawei has equally good performance but cheaper

Apple has made many mistakes with iPhone. It produces many different models and additionally sells from its stores the older ones. People are confused. One maybe two iPhone models in the market are enough.
Also Apple has skyrocketed the prices of latest iPhones beyond any reason. Of course innovation and performance are always expensive but the iPhone XS Max is ridiculously expensive.
Some logic is needed.
Personally I dislike the omission of the central button. It is more practical and gives a unique character and style to iPhone. If the Apple wants more screen space can make screen a little bigger.
Now Apple iPhone looks similar to all other phones. iPhone is a status symbol it must look at least a little different.

Lack of innovation. Extremely high prices. An increasing amount of competition. If I still worked in an Apple Store I'd be finding it quite challenging to recommend an iPhone over what's currently on offer elsewhere.
