Journey to the Château, Ep. 232 - In this Wednesday episode, Patrick and Stuart do some necessary repairs to the chateau courtyard fountain. All of the internal plumbing of the fountain needs to be reconfigured, and they need to re-seal the basin to stop the slow leaks. They also continue their preparation of the chateau for the Heritage Days (Journées du Patrimoine) on September 21 and 22, 2024. Patrick works in the chateau entrance hall to do some detail painting of the doors and on the grand staircase.

Hello my darling Stuart and Patrick, Wow the fountain looks great and will add that bit of ambience to your beautiful entrance especially on the Heritage day. Stuart loved your music choices again. I would love to talk to you about your love of music and baking when eventually meet.
Patrick The Painter always doing a lovely Job on the panels per usual.
Some folk might say that every project sometimes is 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards but you just take it as it comes and just get on with it. Love you guys. Hugs from me. 🥰🥰👏🏼

You both are really all-rounders, mending the fountain, beautiful videography, the finishing touches to the hallway: it is non-stop work, but the results are beautiful!

The doors look stunning. Another beautiful job done. Great fix on the fountain also.

Oh my goodness, water is your nemesis. I had everything crossed hoping you got your fountain sorted, yay❣ Stringers and doors in the entrance look marvelous. I for one would "settle" for a Figaro Friday. He is going to grow and change from a kitten into a big boy so fast. I can never have too much silly kitty shenanigans. Do what you feel is best, hugs to all and stay well.

The details do matter and my response is c’est magnifique! The chateau will be enjoyed by many. The two toned doors are appropriate and the fountain is lovely. I observed a wonderful supervisor ensuring the work was done correctly. Bravo! Take care my friends, Ralph Rocchiccioli

Well done on solving the fountain hiccups! And the final paintwork in the hall is wonderful. Always pays to have a deadline to force the final touches. Well done to the two of you! Your open days will be a resounding success I’m sure! ⛪️⛲️🐕🐈👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️

Small details DO make a difference. They elevate a space to it's highest level. As for the fountain, we always hope to do everything once but there are times when a revisit is needed. Good job!

Dear Patrick and Stuart, the fountain is so beautiful and looks like it was built at the same time as the chateau. It’s very romantic. Details matter and you are filling your chateau with many details. Not only the walls and woodwork but the beautiful ways you combine antique pieces on furniture, vases of flowers, etc. creating vignettes like still life paintings. You both have an artistic eye and it is evident in your home. My mom had an eye for making every inch of her home beautiful and I got it from her. I love to oil paint so I view my home as a hundred still life’s for me to paint. I wish I could be in France on the Heritage Days at your chateau, but I won’t be traveling to Europe until sometime next year. Many hugs ❤

Hi guys,
I am so happy for you that you repaired the fountain. It is beautiful.
You are right. The two toned doors and the stairs look so much better.
Don't stress over getting things done before the open house. I want you both well enough to enjoy it. Will you be doing any food prep for the open house. It will go well.
Lots of love to you both and all of the fur babies. I would definitely be there if I could travel still.❤

Thanks gentlemen, another splendid video. You're correct, the two tones on the door is astounding, utterly gorgeous. It draws your eye immediately, and I'm sure the effect is even more profound in person. Have a wonderful week!

I agree, the two tone really makes a difference. Thank goodness your fix on the fountain worked and you didn't have to take it all apart. Horrors. Looking forward to seeing the open house and good job getting those details done. 😀 ❤️ 😍

Wonderful work on the fountain leaks,
Patrick & Stuart. Fountain with new clean pipes and sealing all the joins,
all now water proof.
Well done to the both of you

Well done on repairing the fountain! Love the difference the detail work on the main entrance makes. I'm sure it looks beautiful. Would like to see how the stairs look now that painting the stringers is done. As far as Figaro goes, we know he is well cared for. We just need regular doses of kitten cuteness. You'll be amazed at how that will increase your subscribers. :)

Gee 3# episode this morning... YAY! Great work on the fountain boys, it looks lovely and very very stately It must sound beautiful in the background as well, and so cooling listening to water splashing. The entrance way... What a elegant finish! It truly is lovely. Gee you have both worked so hard, well done. 😘😘
