2900 Km with the Jeep Compass: Long term Review

We spent 33 days with the Jeep Compass and drive it across various terrains and towns for 2900km for understanding it in a better way. How good is it? Lets find out ....

Most of them commenting negatively have not driven it properly or hate jeep brand outright. I as a owner am happy with both vehicle and services of landmark jeep here in Delhi. Want features go to swift zdi+, it has more features than the compass but than you have to move away when a compass is seen on your auto dimming irvm at 170 kmph. Owning a jeep and owning a Hyundai or tata are 2 very different things. 🙂

I just bought Limited plus version diesel manual
It’s powerful engine, built like a tank and gives fuel economy of around 14+ in hilly terrain
A complete package

@cartoq good review but dont misguide people with your average measuring tactic . Any car under 20 l budget will give you 30 kmpl if you drive without breaking at 50 kmph in 5 th gear ...which not the way anyone drivers ... Normal driving has breaks and speed range from 70 -90 kmph which gives you normal running average . Generally for jeep compass that comes out to be 13-16 kmpl

I own Jeep compass for over 3 months now. I bought it for the hype they created about its robust build up quality. but my dreams shattered in just 3 months when my Jeep's glove compartment came off just like that!! I was not even opening it when the hinges broke! it just got detached while vehicle was running.

like this was not enough, my dealer p c bhandari cars, Jodhpur turned a cold shoulder to this. the dealer says breaking of something doesn't fall under warranty. this is disheartening as it broke due to poor quality.

I tried calling their toll free number but for more than 20 days now, the call centre executive gives the same lame answer... I will mail your problem to the concern department and let's see what happens! but nothing happened till date. I m really disappointed in Jeep as a brand.

Well explained without much drama. Say I want to have a Compass diesel automatic, what is the way out? The Trailhawk will get it but won't that be more expensive? Any idea if this motor will eventually be offered with the auto box? I say this because not every owner will do off-roading everyday and hence we normal mortals do want a 4x2 diesel AT. That will be a great combination right

At 3:30 you say it has got full sized spare wheel, I went straight away to my 4x4 Jeep compass to correct myself that I had found it's one size smaller I.e *215x65xR16* (ya am correct). Though all wheels are of *225x60xR17* in size.
Would you please say something about it?

Good thing about the light interiors - this is India, not Europe. I want to see how owners can keep the cabin clean in the long run. Also, where was the fuel economy run done as I see the car plate is MH

The review seems a bit talking about the rear seating experience he skips talking about the 4 seater carrying capacity and the hugh hump at the back limiting to max 2 adults at the back
