Popeye the Sailor (1933) - Title 'restoration' (read description)

Compare to the original:

On the Popeye the Sailor DVD set, they spliced a Paramount logo onto the beginning of the first Popeye short, presumably because the original logo was removed by UM&M in the 50's-- there are very few Betty Boop shorts with completely intact titles. From what I understand, the Paramount logo originally smoothly faded to the "Betty Boop Cartoon" stage and short titles.

Since some frames of the initial wipe were missing, I recreated them and took the spliced Paramount logo and faded it over the recreated wipe frames. The result probably isn't 100% accurate, but I believe it more closely resembles how it's supposed to look compared to the hard cut on the DVD set.

Additionally, I stabilized the video, so there is no more (or at least far less) gate weave. I also upscaled the video because YouTube compresses 480p content pretty heavily.

You should ask Warner Bros can you re-create the opening title the same way like you’ve done.
