I am at the same point 140 pounds and in the maintaining state. I have conquered the pain in my left knee and feel awesome. Thank you for posting this because for a while I was chasing the scale numbers. I finally realized that I feel fantastic and beautiful and that was what I wanted from the beginning.

I love how you talk about the pattern that can develop into an eating disorder.

One of your best gold nuggets is your concept of treating your changes like a science experiment where you are the subject. Makes it much less emotional and takes out the "i'm a loser" feeling if the changes doesn't help.

Very good! BMI is a very rough guide, the waist circumference is far more indicative of health status.

I've been aiming for 125lbs, but that's just a rough guideline. I have some summer shorts in sizes 2 and 4 that I'd like to fit in again. I was at 128.0 this morning, if I try the shorts on and they fit at 128 then I will start maintaining. If I get to 125 and they are still a little snug, then I'll keep going.

Your videos are so informative and relatable. Thank you!

Thanks for the video. I appreciate you common sense, gentle approach to fasting. I have set a goal weight for myself but only as a vantage point to either maintain or lose more once i get to it. I ve been losing and maintaining now for 8 months and enjoying the process, especially learning to maintain by not returning to old habits. I believe fasting will always be a part of my maintenance, and I will stop trying to lose more when I feel my body is at optimal proportions for doing the active things I like to do, such as running and hiking. I just want to feel free with movement and not restricted by my size. Thanks again for your videos!

I'm now at 127.8 lbs at 5'6. I'm very slim and lean (thanks to Pilates)!! But, I don't want to get toooo skinny.

My goal was 118. I’m 5’2...but now that I’m older I seem to be losing weight in different areas faster then the rest (my belly) I’m at 134 now. So I may be happy with 125. I guess I’ll have to wait and see 😊

I am not sure when I will stop. I think my body will tell me when it is ready. If i never loss another pound I am okay with it at this point.

I've entered the "normal BMI" range (24 at the moment). I am 5'10" and weighed at 169 lbs last week (the scale turns me into a mad woman so I only weigh myself every other month or so). I've now lost 90 pounds in 15 months, despite being unable to exercise and being absolutely sedentary, due to a very bad fracture, and I feel fantastic I'm thinking of trying to go down to 148-ish. My main reason being that it was my optimal weight in terms of well-being, confidence and vitality. My second is that some of my favorite jeans I own are still a tad too small, do not judge, hehe! Anyhow, if I cannot go below 160 or 155, I'll still be ok with that, and just build muscle as soon as I can resume exercise. For me, maintanance is around the corner (I still cannot believe it), and it will be Omad, for sure, though a more relaxed one... Congrats on all your successes and being a very unique voice in the Omad community!

I lowered my A1C to 6.5. My goal is to get between 4-6 to being my diabetes under control. That is the main reason for loosing weight. Although I am overweight, I don't think I will have to loose some HUGE number just to be doing better for myself. It's all about getting healthy for me.

From my experience, getting into the BMI Normal range gives me more medical leverage. My physicians can no longer say, "well, you are overweight, so...". In fact, my primary care physician sent a Normal BMI diagnostic code to my health insurance provider. It would be nice to get a monthly premium rebate for my achievement if it's so important.

There was a time when I had the arbitrary weight of 140 lbs stuck in my head as a goal. Then I had a hydrostatic weighing and found that my LBM was 139 lbs the techs told me that it would be very unhealthy and almost impossible for me to weigh 140 unless I was sick. I learned that a more proper weight for me would be at least 20 - 30 lbs above my LBM which would be 159 - 169 lbs. Surprisingly the top weight for a healthy BMI range for my height is 169.3, as a result of this information my first goal is to get to 170 lbs and see how I feel there. I don't want to be at a weight where I feel I'm "white knuckling it" either.
