Having been in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for a year, I learned the best way to heal my childhood trauma is to speak to myself like I'm the loving parent I needed. Things like "I deserve better". It's about having a healthy inner voice.

I am a recovering codependent who did not trust my own thoughts, emotions, or opinions. I let other people's opinions take more importance than my own. Now I am gaining more self-confidence and trust myself. I am becoming my own best friend. It feels great! 😊

During Covid lockdown I saw a therapist over zoom, to deal with my depression since high school. Back then I almost attempted suicide multiple times due to my friends since 6th grade turning on me and bullying me. My therapist had me speak my feelings out loud, something I never did. The results were VERY freeing and helpful. I still think about the past and often think one day I’ll have to confront those who hurt me again, but I feel I’ll be smarter about it now.

I keep my innerchild safe for a reason(maybe a selfish reason.) and she still safe.I let her out when i feel comforble around people but only if it's a right thing to do.Still sometimes she doesn't listen and come out again.I don't mind she deserved to be Happy<3

i am a survivor of narcissistic abuse and neglect. i notice that i can connect more with my soul as i'm healing in the ways that i did as a child-- i value myself again and i cherish my personality. this video helps me know i'm on the right path even when things get hard 💛

My inner child is healed by making covers of the music i've always wanted to learn. That path has lead me to be able to meet some people i've looked up to for a long time as well. It's been a great journey so far.

The most noticeable for me is "bounce back more quickly from setbacks", I'm developing healthy habits and when I fail is easier now to get back on track.

As someone who had social and general anxiety, autism signs and past traumas (sadly all undiagnosed), psychologically abusive family and suffered from high malnutrition and burnout, my life was at the bottom. But. Many things including this channel allowed me to get more educated on psychology and social concepts I never learned in my youth. After having a self-help class at university, searching further help with a phychologist, a nutritionist and so on I managed to get back up and still am on this selfcare journey. I just want to say that it is possible, truly. It is not easy. As example, I had depression for around 5 years and I am recently getting out of it. I had severe malnutrition, from which I am stuck with severe anemia since 2 years now (I dont have a family medic to help me on it) and so on.

Things really do not get fixed on one day. It takes time, effort, research, a lot of change and consistance at once. It is rewarding at the end. Sorry for the long text xd.

I feel this video so much. It has been such a relief and positive to heal my Inner Child. A lot of these are _very_ familiar to me.

My trauma was mostly neglect and the negative emotions and withdrawal due to that. It was bad, but having therapy and doing work on myself for years has helped immensely.
