I do like your breakdown of things here. But I think there's a lot more that should really be made clear here. I think successful relationships require a lot of giving up on what your expectations are of the other person. The practice of how you do that is what takes time (years) and maturity.
I don't subscribe to this idea of "unequally yoked"... I think many couples can make things work even if coming from different backgrounds. What matters in the relationship is that you like the other person, you want to spend time with them, to laugh and enjoy life with them, but also you absolutely must allow each other their own time and space. If you don't allow for the later (allowing for personal time and space), and don't want to give up those expectations on them, then you poison the relationship. That's what makes it fail, I think that is a better more rounded explanation that just saying they are "unequally yoked".
Obviously there are other dynamics also, and is not for us to know or judge them, but this is what stands out to me.

Those church people broke those two up. Those church members where mean and hateful to Meagan. And Devon saw his wife going through stress from the church. He should had left that church for the hateful treatment of his wife. She would had adventurely changed her style. To might the expectation of the church, just not right now. Church and family and friends can do this to anyone relationship when they don't approve of someones choices. Seen it for myself.

Reminds me of Amnon being very attracted to Tamar at 6:10 because it was infatuation. Someone celibate for 10yrs sees things differently than someone for months. Was he very eager because of the longing? Did she fall soon because he was more reserved than her previous men? She probably felt more desired because, he could go without sex.
