Nijushiho Kata Analysis

We were asked to assess the applications for Nijushiho by one of our seminar attendees in Canada! Just want to reiterate that we emphasize the grappling based applications because there are already many striking-based applications for kata. It doesn't mean one is right or wrong, it's all just interpretations.

We are a group on a mission to return Karate to its roots through the use of Kata as self-defense.

Fun thing about karate, most of the techniques can be used as punches, blocks, breaks, joint controls from one technique. It depends entirely on how you apply it.

THX! great vid! I love the point where you explain, that you hit and perhaps you slight/shoot through and end "there" and now you need to go on...
I would like to see you performing a/the whole Kata. Just for the comparsion on how your "version" is... That would be awesome!
