In this lesson, we start a new series talking about blood and bleeding in critical care. We kick things off with a discussion of the different types of blood products that we commonly use. Wow, this is an amazing video! I am not a nurse, I am a lab scientist and blood banker, so my view of this subject is very different. I watched this video to understand the floor's POV so I could provide better service and have a common ground explanation. I will share this with my lab so the lab and floor can all speak the same language, lol. Thanks again!

Been a Med Surg nurse for 5 years. Ready to go to the ICU. This is great review, and good for me to know what I will be dealing with. Great channel.

Great video, thanks for education everyone on these important topics for patient care. One thing I noticed in this video minute 8:14 describes that 1 unit of platelets(6pack) volume is only 50 mLs... when to my knowledge a 6 pack should have around 200-300 mLs. Thanks for any feedback.

I so wish that you would consider venturing outside critical care and covering general nursing school topics. I have gotten so much out of your lessons. I am understanding topics that were incomprehensible during my classes. Watching these videos, I am connecting dots. Best nursing channel on Youtube-by far!!

I really love watching all your videos, and it definitely puts a lot of things in perspective for me especially since I am new in a HFICU. What would you think about doing some VAD/Impella type videos? I love what you are doing! Please keep it up.
