Digital driver's licenses available in Florida. Are people using them?

It seems like you can get everything on your phone these days: your credit card, boarding pass, and now, in Florida, your driver’s license.
The state launched its Florida Smart ID app back in 2022, and News 6 wanted to find out whether people are using it.

I’d use it! The police could use a hand held device to scan a QR code from you phone screen to quickly exchange the information. Insurance, warrants, tickets, criminal background could all be instantly available. And for those People who say they don’t want the police to have information. You just don’t realize that they get that immediately when they put your information into the computer in their vehicle or report it to a dispatcher.

The APP has QR scan screen both online and offline mode. You do NOT have to hand over your phone to the officer. PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD MISINFORMATION.

You may not wanna hand you phone to the police on a traffic stop to go back and write you a ticket, especially if you have incriminating this on said phone. Stick with the physical license for now.

Why create a adhoc app vs using the supported iOS app

See the other clip about how cell phone thieves grab your phone and are able to by-pass your screen lock/code and appear to be the owner to the carrier, so you can't stop money transfers from your bank or credit card. REMOVE your credit card & banking app from ur phone and remove all personal things like drivers licenses.

since I don’t drive, or the Florida state identification cards, can you use those for that app? I am also blind, is that app accessible for those who need to use a screen reader to put the information in.
