I’m living in Ukraine on the West side. This is great intelligent country with ability to grow quickly and become the place of technological innovations. Our young generation is smart and incredibly educated. Unfortunately, we have gotten the worst neighbour ever.
In 1994 we signed the document “Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons”. We refused to have nuclear weapons because the world promised to protect us. Right now, we lost out territories. We are waiting for possible attack to loose more. We don’t want this war. We choose diplomacy instead too.
All world is waiting. We are waiting with the huge anxiety and stress. This is so unfair and makes no sense. Understanding that in 21 century we need to fight makes me feel that this world will never be the place of peace and humanity.
