The Chevy Volt can switch between gas & electricity.

The Chevy Volt is NOT a hybrid, it is actually an extended-range electric vehicle.

If there is a charge in the battery the driver can toggle from gas to kilowatts, and back.

The Volt is more efficient using gas on the highway, and more efficient at full electric in stop and go traffic OFF the highway.

This is all messed-up.
You were still using the battery….you were using both power from the engine (generator), AND battery in the video.
At times, it’ll only be showing power from the generator.
You say it uses electric before gas, and that’s sorta true, but the car always drives by electricity.
The engine is a generator, so what it does, is power the drive motors.
It either runs off power from the battery, or the engine.
-but it’s electric power, either way.

In some circumstances, the engine will couple directly to the drive wheels, but it’s only in limited circumstances, for efficiency.

I really want one but does it automatically switch and charge the battery when in gas mode? Also im a Chevy person thats why i dont want a Tesla and i live out in the country which is why im hesitant
