The RX 570, released in 2017, was a solid 1080p gaming graphics card that outperformed NVIDIA's GTX 1050 Ti but struggled against the 3GB GTX 1060. Seven years later, the PC gaming landscape has changed dramatically. I'm still using my RX 570 that i paid 179.99 still a beast. It can do 3440 x 1440, however it's starting to show its age. Thinking about getting the RX 7800 XT

I upgrade from Vega 11 to rx 570 4gb and im very happy with this card, for me ryzen 5 3400g and rx 570 is a very good combination i can play Games on medium or even ultra settings

I upgraded from an RX 570 to an RTX 3070 and the difference is massive
but I don't think the RX 570 is obsolete

the GTX 1060 3gb was not a full 1060, since it had cutted down ram AND cores, many of us claimed back in 2017 that 1060 6gb was a "1060 Ti" without branding and made the 1060 3gb a direct competitor to the Rx 570, which was a slightly cutted down 580 to be fair.

4gb was more than enough in 2017, but nowadays 8gb version might be required for propper loading of newer tittles that can still run on the 570. Nevertheless both 4 and 8gb versions were good GPUs and aged really well. To get this level of longevity back in the day you needed to aim at a high end GPU (like R9 290/x R9 390/x or Fury) but with the 400 (and rebranded 500) series that changed for good

It's a pity that this video did not take into account the comparison of RAM consumption, since it is borrowed, for lack of video memory of the graphics card. As I was able to see, RAM borrowing can range from 500 mb to 2 gb
However, as has been shown, some game projects are hard on the graphics processor itself, forcing it to run games at low settings, which reduces the dependence of video memory consumption

i still using 4GB 570 that i paid $50 1.5 year ago, i oc it a bit and it can still play some of my library just fine! 1080p High at FH4, Metaphor, RDR2, and ETS2 with lock 60fps :D
too bad the graphic driver will crash if i try to use it for Ai Denoise on Lightroom since it's an ex mining card with modded bios, but for editing 1080p on Premiere and After Effects, it still good enough and stable.
can't wait to upgrade to 2060 super once i saved enough! :D

Mining cards are often in better condition than gaming cards as a mining card is on for a long time witbout being switched off meaning the temperature is roughly the same the whole time irs running. A gaming gpu goes from on to desktop to game to desktop to game. Im sure you get the picture meaning temperature fluctuations causing things to expand and contract. Like pavements cracking in when the season changes.

I do have an RX 570, but I don't use it as a daily driver (I don't think that I have a daily driver, I kind of rotate GPUs).I'm on the casual side when it comes to gaming and I don't get to play much except some Fortnite and some older AAA titles (Terminator: Resistance, or Resident Evil 4); the performance level provided by the 4GB variant that I have is quite ok.
I do like the 570 though - it has a single 6 pin power connector, and that fits well with the original PSU of my PC (old workstation, that does have a 6 pin connector).
