Is the scope of the impeachment proceedings too limited?

The first public hearing of the President Trump impeachment inquiry was held Wednesday — an effort to determine whether or not Trump withheld aid to Ukraine in an attempt to pressure officials to investigate his political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who served on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company. But former U.S. Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman, who served on the committee that drew up the articles of impeachment against Richard Nixon, suggests that the scope of the impeachment proceedings need not be limited just to the Ukraine issue. Holtzman says that in Nixon's case, "the articles of impeachment about abuse of power went through a litany of things," including ordering IRS audits of political opponents and illegal wiretapping. The committee even tried to include the Nixon administration's secret bombing campaign in Cambodia in the articles, but it was rejected. Holtzman speculates that this was all part of a strategy to build "the broadest support possible for the impeachment articles."

I’m so glad we get to waste more time with this.

Definitely too limited. It needs to be expanded to violations of the emoluments clause, Trump's business dealing with foreign businesses and officials, and conflicts of interest.

Nancy specifically made this limited so Trump's relationship with Israel wouldn't come into question.
