As someone who followed and played Comp Overwatch from alpha, (I even played against Surefour in a Gosugamers league haha) watching as people learn to remove their preconceived notions from their previous games and learn the game and it's engine intricately is one of my favorite developments. I'll have to check out TSM vods and see if I see the same understanding like you're saying.

What are your thoughts on a potential setup where mirror matchups aren't allowed? For instance, Team A gets to ban 1 agent then Team B gets to pick one. Then Team A picks 2, Team B picks 2, etc.

Even if not the official format for the game, I'd love to gather and analyze stats when the common core is broken up. If Sage is banned, you might only get Cypher or Brim but nobody else from that comp. Then we'd really see true prioritization and winrates for each agent.

Keep up the great work!

i think you should rename this series of stats breakdown with a "episode ish" name with numbers so it can be easily posted and followed in reddit

Question about a specific comp you didn't reference, although if it was ever played I do not know: Would Poison Ivy + Sova (viper jett sage brim sova) be effective?

Do you think that the 3-piece is bad for competitive? Almost every team-comp has the same 3 agents and only 2 slots to be unique with. Brimstone can be replaced with omen or viper, but sage and cypher both fill roles that no other agent does. How should this translate into agent 12? They are leaked to be turret-based, so maybe they can be a flank-watch. They also have storm drones, which could either be an ability that does something (maybe heal) or what the turret fires. It would be interesting if they could replace both sage and cypher, being worse than the two combined, but if played could be a slot for more unique comps. Want opinions, whether it be about the agent, comps, or some massive misphrasing I made.

Damn Phoenix needs buffs so bad lol as does Reyna. I just don't think Riot really knows what to do with the duelist class of characters given the issues with Phoenix, Reyna and Jett had for a long time. Characters that are there to kill with limited utility are tricky. Raze works cause her AOE is just so powerful. But do you really want buff all of their AoE for the Duelist Class. For both Phoenix and Reyna you can make their blinds better. Reyna is just kinda held back by needing kills. Phoenix I let his ult give some buffs, extension on kills, damage and movement speed buff, something like that.

Question #3: I am writing a reddit post about the long-term health of this game and its meta, and I am using your data in it. Should I publicize your name?

If common core is Brim+Cypher+Sage+Breach, would Omen+Cypher+Sage+Breach be called the cOMEN core?

Could the viper mismatch be the same thing as the asol winrate in NA? Where no one plays her except one tricks so they have a high winrate?
