*1. Whitebeard*
equal to Roger and Garp, gets routinely eleveated from the other Yonko when they are brought up as something even surpassing them. Defined an Era.

*2. Kaido*
On Onigashima ran a gauntlet of:
6 Supernova level characters (Kawamatsu, Kinemon, Kiku, Raizo, Izo, Killer), 6 Commander level characters (Asura, Denjiro, Sulong Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, Kidd, Law) [all previous 12 characters have special abilities specifically to counter Kaidos durability], 3 first mate level characters (Ryuo Luffy, Enma Zoro, Yamato) and 3 rounds against a mid, later high level, Yonko level character (Luffy) who could between each round rest/rejuvernate, while Kaido fought continuosly. Also dont forget about the further Yonko level attack by Zoro and the 11 more Ryuo/acoc sneak attacks by the Scabbards, Yamato and Luffy.
Comparing this to Big Mom (a mid level Yonko with above average durability) being defeated just by being pecked at by characters that cant get past her durability in the first place and then slowly chipped away at by two first mate level characters illustrates how insane Kaidos gauntlet was.
"Strongest creature in the world" and " in a 1v1 bet on Kaido" shouldnt be taken lightly.
Tldr: Kaido has a Yonko level offence but a Pirate King level defence.

*3. Shanks*
On par, and likely surpassing the strongest swordsman in the world, likely the greatest haki master alive to make up for his lack of a devil fruit, the most intelligent one on this list. Many believe him to even surpass Kaido but lets not forget that Kaidos defeat was more of a group project than anything else while Shanks' coming defeat by Luffy will likely be a 1v1. Kaido also held the title of worlds strongest creature something that often goes ignored by the fandom. Its possible that Shanks will prove to be stronger than Kaido when he finally properly fights but until then Kaidos feats place him above Shanks.

*4. Luffy*
Managed to overpower the strongest creature in the world in Gear 5, however Gear 5 has a short duration to it and rapidly drains his energy. In addition to that Luffy had 3 rounds against Kaido, in between which Luffy rejuvernated somewhat, while Kaido had no time to rest; not to mention all the other opponents Kaido fought prior to Luffy to weaken him. Still even without Gear 5 Luffy is at least mid Yonko level.
-> mid-high Yonko Level.
*5. Big Mom*
The most quintessential Yonko in the series. Strong devil fruit, advanced conquerers haki, immense physical powers. Not much to say here. Probably wins against low-mid Yonko level characters like Oden, Reighley, Sengoku, old WB etc. but loses to high Yonko level characters like Shanks, Mihawk or Luffy.

*6. Blackbeard*
He wasnt confident enough to take on an old Reighley, who at this point is low-mid Admiral level. He could have beaten him but it would have been a struggle. His performances against Law, Boa and the Seraphim as well as running from Akainu prove this placement. He'll have to get another power up (3rd fruit maybe) before he can fullfill the end game villain role hes destined for.

I felt that Kaido is being underestimated..remember he took serious damage from Zoro's Enma combo as well as taking a radio knife from Law straight to the heart...that's not passive damage at all. I feel like Blackbeard let Luffy and the gang deal with Kaido and Big Mom cause he himself wouldn't have been able to beat them..

When we first saw Blackbeard he was basically a joke character but throughout the series he became one of the biggest threats in One Piece. Where Luffy has the heart of a pirate aka complete freedom, Blackbeard is a true pirate. I could actually see Blackbeard getting the one piece first and becoming the 2nd king of the pirate until Luffy stops him.

Big Mom second to last?? Kid and Law threw her off the island, she was never BEATEN but rather thrown off a island while fully awake, and literary telling Kid and Law, their attack can't put her down.
G5th is stronger than Law and Kid?? This is headcanon. Law and Kid took on a Yonko at 100% from the start, meanwhile Luffy, had countless help, recovery time, food, MORE help, and won.

Personally, you can't say "Kaido 100% took damage" and then seconds later disregard him having taken an enormous amount of damage just because he was still competing and besting Luffy who had power up after power up. Idk how something that perfectly highlights Kaido's monstrous strength and stamina, is then used to downplay him. If it was just Kaido vs Luffy 1v1, from the start, we know who's winning.

We don't know anything about Blackbeard atm, but considering he was ahead of Luffy, in all aspects before obtaining the devil fruits, it wouldn't be far fetched to assume Luffy, would lose to a current, stronger Blackbeard.

A pretty decent list all in all imo except for the position of the King of Beasts ! you're heavily underestimating and underrating Kaido.

Luffy won but come on he came back a lot of times after getting healed and everything while Kaido didn't have any break (luffy is my favorite character btw so no bias here).

Also the argument with Shanks stopping him is not that big of a deal as it was the whole Red Hair Pirates stopping only Kaido and King as only the two of them went to Marineford.

Also the thing of him losing 7 times was when he was waaaay younger and inexperienced without devil fruit (before he joined Rocks) so obviously he would lose at some point no one is born the strongest but they become the strongest after losing and then winning. P retty sure even the likes of WB, Roger and Shanks lost at some point before becoming the strongest.
I think Kaido should be either second (after prime WB) or third (after WB and Shanks).

Destroyed scabbards easily, tanked many solid attacks on Onigashima, post time skip called "strongest creature alive"

20+ years of manga and 0 normal feats, all we know he has top haki. Mentioned by Kaido as one of characters who can defeat him. Nothing much else to say
4. *Big mom* (mid yonko level)
Fight vs Law & Kid made her look weaker than before, but she still had power while that duo was half alive. Her falling in the magma was their lifeline
5. *Luffy* (low yonko level)
Yes, he defeated Kaido. After 3 K.O from him... Anyways, gear5 and top haki still make him yonko level. He just needs one more power up to be on high yonko level
6. *Blackbeard* (low yonko level)
2 strongest devil fruits isnt a joke, but haki... Most likely on a basic level. His defence is weak so lack of strong armament haki is his main disadvantage
7. *Buggy* (high clown king level)

The reason big mom and kaido's bounties are higher than shanks is simply because they harm civilians and shanks does not.

Kaido fought numerous opponents and took so much damage and all the while carrying an Island. While Luffy had 3 months worth of food to recover I wouldn't put Luffy above Kaido but I would place him above Big Mom though.
Edit: And the 5 people Kaido mentioned aren't the people he couldn't beat but who he respects. while Garp, Sengoku, Mihawk and BM are at that level he didn't mention them. He probably didn't view them in the same way as others.
