I was told by the former Cedarville Chancellor and friend of Louie Zamperini, Dr. Paul Dixon, that Louie told the producers and directors and whatnot who wanted to make this movie, that he had one condition: That they would show how he turned to Christ in this movie. They said no, and Louie walked out on the deal of a lifetime. Whether you believe in God or not, I for one certainly hope that the people who made this movie granted him that wish in respects to him.

This movie was shot near where I live here in Australia, Angelina even ate at a resurant 2km from where I live, and I was at the warner brothers theme park at the same time as her when they were doing some special effects thing...also in the extended trailer when they're on the boat, that was shot in the bay where I live haha weird though cause it was set in America.
