I would have thought the salvage of the Kursk would have been mentioned. That was a complex operation in nasty waters.

I just learned that pre ww2 metal from shipwrecks is valuable because it has no atomic signature. It is used in making sensitive medical equipment.

I would love more content about lost ships on the Great Lakes and the efforts to recover artifacts from them.

The salvage of the USS Monitor in 1935 was a monumental feat. This Civil War-era ironclad, sunk in a storm off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, was raised from a depth of 220 feet. Despite its fragile condition and the challenging conditions, the salvagers successfully brought the ship to the surface, preserving a vital piece of American history.

I picture a set of 4 self pumping pontoons that can submerge themselves next to the wreck, be attached by divers and then resurface with the wreck. It could then be towed to wherever the rest of the operations are to be conducted.

The greatest salvage of all time must be the recovery of the German High Seas Fleet, scuttled by their crews in Scapa Flow, you could add in the Soviet gold recovery from HMS Edinburgh as noteworthy due to its risks. If you want an American effort, the raising of the Pearl Harbour fleet sunk in 1941.

it's sad the George M. Humphrey was scrapped in 88, she would have beena beauty to see, and considering her historic importance to, being the first 600ft ship ever to be salvaged

Why have that annoying 'music' accompanying the narration? It detracts from an otherwise excellent video.

The recovery of a large quantity of gold bars from the Niagara sunk in cook straight in an active mine field during ww2 is an incredible story. Documented in a biography of captain john williams titled so end this day is a good read of a real event.

We should be salvaging ships that are war leaves. So disrespectful. There are more important things than money 💰. Honor and integrity, and courage, which seems to be in short supply today.

Regardless of what country a boat sails for or how it sank with who knows how many lives lost it was still a war grave and should be left alone

I don't think a grave site should've been salvaged

Usa demasiadas imágenes fuera de contexto, muchas de las cuales no se corresponden con el naufragio del que se habla, esto genera confusión. (It uses too many images out of context, many of which do not correspond to the shipwreck being talked about, this creates confusion.)

Could be an interesting video, "BUT" the stupid, aggravating hypnotic music in the background is too much for me. Sad Why do so many people ruin videos with the stupid looping nonsense ????
