Very Nice Addition with the DCS Commander!!! It will serve you well, the cost of a used TIU and Remote is around $225 if you are lucky!!!MTH is phasing out the remotes, so the prices of used remotes has went up over the last couple months.I have a 5 volt board I can give you a better deal on, as they are easier to get than the 3volt boards.I kinda like the DCS commander, but I think it will only run so many engines at a time(I could be wrong on that), before you will have to upgrade to a TIU/Wifi, that is how MTH is packaging them now, and selling the remaining remotes seperatly for $150-160!!!

It's great that you can change out boards yourself, I still am in the learning process with changing out boards, but I KNOW PEOPLE who help me out and have been learnin me on how to do it.

Great Work, and nice to see you are still into the conventional engines, so am I.I have lots of Super O, and am going to use it on an inner loop, as well as an elevated line.In my Opinion, It was the best O scale track ever made.We can only hope Lionel will start making it again someday, in more radius than just the 36" radius it originally came in.

Those are called “knife switches” the first one a SPST(single pole, single throw), the second DPDT(double pole, double throw)just FYI

Can't you just wire that motor Direct somehow and set it up conventional then it would run and you wouldn't have to use it for a parts engine
