Restoring a Bosch SR 7.2 Flexicharge screwdriver and converting batteries to Li-Ion.

I bought this non working Bosch 7.2v Drill/Driver from Ebay. It looked in good condition and used two independent 3.6v NiCd batteries which were dead and leaking. I want to convert it to 2 x 3.6v Li-Ion battery power.

the two speed option could cause a problem with one battery becoming flat before the other and reverse charging it.

You could use battery 21700 instead of 18650 -- higher capacity and will better fit the battery case size. Otherwise very nice restoration.

why didn't you use BMS? Using Li-Ion batteries without BMS is dangerous, isn't it?
