Lyrics - Isaac Watts (1719)
Music - Lowell Mason (1832)
Key - D Major
Tempo - 90 bpm

Please enjoy these simple recordings and feel free to give suggestions and requests! Thumbs up?... What did you like? Thumbs down?... What can I change for you?

Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to help folks learn harmony parts to hymns and not to sound perfect. These recordings will sound a touch raw for a few reasons; I am not a trained singer, I am using very simple recording hardware, my recording 'studio' is a coat closet that is just big enough for me to fit in. ( :

If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.

My recording process:
-Record each part on a Rode NT1-A on to a Zoom H4 recorder
-Some pitch correction in Melodyne
-Mix in Mixcraft 6
-Combine audio and sheet music in Corel VideoStudio X7

To my knowledge, most of the hymns that I record and post are public domain (except the ones I've obtained permission for). If you notice one that is NOT public domain, let me know as soon as possible so that I can take that video down.

I recently preached a sermon, "Christmas in July" and we sand this hymn. It is a beautiful hymn, especially acapella at church.

My first reaction was 'Oh no! far too early for carols!' but I must admit, you brightened up my day with, yet another, lovely rendition. Many thanks.

Joy to The world

1,
Joy to the world
The Lord is Come
Let Earth receive her king
Let every heart
prepare him room

And heaven nature sing
And heaven nature sing
And heaven
And heaven
And nature sing

2,
Joy to the earth
The Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ

While fields and floods
Rocks, hills, and plains

Repeat The sounding Joy
Repeat The sounding Joy
Repeat,
repeat The sounding Joy

3,
No more let sin
and sorrow grow
Nor thorns infest the ground:

He comes to Make
His blessings Flow,
Far as The curse is found
Far as The curse is found
Far as
Far as
The curse is found

4,
He rules the world
With Truth and Grace
And makes the
Nations prove

The glories of his
Righteousness

And wonder's of his Love
And wonder's of his Love wonder's
And wonder's, of his Love

Hey A Capella hymns, is it just me or do you actually sing the alto part an octave higher? Im curious as to why. Your pitch range is truly great, you sing the bass parts so clearly with no sign of a quivering voice.

A Cappella Hymns - Is there a reason that I can't find your version of 'Be Thou My Vision' ? Just wondering!
Thanks!
