Please Note: I made an error, upward gimbal rotation is available on the Mavic Mini. It slipped my mind :) Also another good reason is Mavic Air 2 has precision landing and is far more accurate.

I have the MA1 bought in 2019 and now picked up a new MA2 on trade for my Mini 2. Still love the original it's a kick ass drone but wow what an upgrade! I was considering the Mavic Pro 2 for the nicer camera, but, being new to drones I didn't want to crash a $1500 drone. So, I bought both the Mini and Air 2 for a little less than the Pro 2. I'm in week 2 learning with the mini, just unboxed the Air 2 last night to charge up the batteries. It's substantially more sturdy.

I'm having an absolute blast flying the Mini, can't wait to bring out the big guns and fly the Air 2.

Hi AP, thank you for a very informative video on the features of the Mavic Air 2. I recently purchased a base model, Bugs 4W which I flew for the first time a week ago, and was surprised how easy it was to fly. I have been watching quite a few tutorials, like urs to get a better understanding and tips of what to and what not to do, and to my credit, WOW, I was impressed. Even my friend said, that the way I was flying, it was as if I had been doing it for a long time. One thing that I was in this video that I was pleased you covered, because I asked the question of another blogger, and I understand that software can be updated by the manufacturer at anytime, and this would be a case in point. I asked the other blogger if it is possible to change your RTH point once you have been walking for sometime, to save you having to go back to the original RTH site, and his response was a flat NO!! Ok, thank you was my response. It was good to hear in this video that DJI have updated the software to allow you to amend the RTH point, and I think this will be a huge advantage over other drone makers, until they catch up. Again thank you.

I am a new drone owner but the Mavic Air 2 has exceeded all my expectations. Great video, left off a point about the remote, Larger battery, that can charge your phone as you fly. Keep up the great videos, I need to cancel my batch 3 pre order deposit for the Skydio 2, in the morning, I am very happy with the mavic air 2:')

For me one of the best things about the new controllers that for some reason no one mentions is that your phone is at the top of the controller, I found it so uncomfortable to look down to see the screen and it would put so much tention on my neck

My air 2 is a week late but I should have it in the next day or two. Upgrading from a mini so this video is great! I need increased range and stability (damn you west of Ireland weather), particularly as I do a lot of videoing over water.

Good video for sure. A lot of information. BUT. Save 💰, save resources, do not obey the market if you are happy with the Mini. Remember the Mavic Air 2 is 100% more expensive to justify all this points and if most of them are relevant to you: buy. If not: be happy to have a great drone. Happy flying!
