I swear, one day people are begging for VAR next day it’s destroying the game... make your mind up

As a bayern fan who consistently watches the bundesliga and var .
I d rather wait a minute rather than losing the cl with the help of the ref.

VAR would of saved the US from being eliminated from World Cup qualification, I want VAR before it cost a worthy team a World Cup or a Champions League trophy

I'd rather wait a minute for a blind refferee to watch a replay 10 times than wait another year for my team to get back to UCL after being eliminated because of human error, or 4 years from my country to go to the WC

I think it depends what it's used for, like, that moving the free kick 2 feet further infield is just completely unnecessary, yet penalty decisions are extremely vital. Just needs more trials and usage to hone what it is, and isn't, good or

I really don't see how fans can be against VAR

The problem is not VAR, it's how it is applied. If referees are still as awful as they are, it will help in some way, but not enough.

No, VAR is not destroying football. The truth should always win.

The example you gave due to the waste of time is pure incompetence from the referee. The VAR protocol has nothing to do with where the foul was commited (you talked about the only 4 situations it should be used). Human error is still undermining technology. The time wasted would be considerably smaller if the referee would trust the VAR decision (much better informed). Another mistake you've made: the decision should only be reverted if the referee is clearly wrong (again, in the protocol, and human error is fucking it up).

as a bug rugby fan, i feel that VAR does not ruin the fluidity or the excitement of football, what they need is what rugby has. a TMO (the match official) which is when the referee asks the match official to review a potential foul play or try and then the tmo gives his decision, but the catch is that what the tmo can see is what the ref and everyone else can see, which can cause a lot of anticipation and leaves you on the edge of your seat in close matches because one decision late in the game can be the difference between a win or a loss.

In my opinion, bad refereeing destroys big, important and good matches way more than VAR could ever do. (Barca vs Chelsea, Real vs Bayern, etc.) It still needs improvement. But it still is a step into the right direction.

I like VAR but my only issue with VAR is that it is time consuming in my opinion everytime the VAR is needed the game clock should stopped

Not implementing VAR in CONCACAF ruined the USA chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. This system is needed all across football confederations

The beauty of football is its simplicity ... when we play with our friends we do it without this VAR ... Mistakes are part of this interesting game. I believe we should stop this VAR or apply it in a different way ... matches should not stop too much to go n see these monitors.

VAR's problem comes from how the head refs are using it, not how the technology is working or how it is actually supposed to work.
