I thought it was going to be the classic "jams fingers when rolling the blackboard up". I remember Dr Upton at Melbourne Uni really squashing a couple of fingers that way in Analysis 101 back in 81. He swore, wrapped his quite badly bleeding fingers in an increasingly blood soaked handkerchief and carried on with Rolle's theorem! Of course that was back when mathematicians were mathematicians. Respect.
