We've read that when they filmed this scene, Ringo was the only one with any experience skiing. I noticed today for the first time that at 1:57, John does a snowplow in order to turn, which I gather is kind of an elementary maneuver. I guess it's true that he, at least, wasn't a very practiced skiier. Not that it matters much. (And we've also heard that the four of them were stoned to the gills that day.)

God I love the beatles. Got real into them a few years ago in highschool, they've been my favorite band ever since. I never get tired of them.

I saw Help! when I was 10. Loved the Beatles since they were first on Ed Sullivan. Loved all the songs in Help! On seeing this scene, "Ticket to Ride" became my favorite song in the world, and it still is to this day. It has an amazing character I can't describe. One of John Lennon's most subtle, brilliant songs.
