Ugandan activist Vanessa Nakate started climate striking in 2018. Here are her five tips on how to start advocating for the climate and the importance of looking after yourself while doing so.

When she first started striking, Vanessa was often on her own, but she told us she quickly started gaining recognition as more people joined her and has dealt with the ups and downs of being a public climate activist.
