Use a hot washcloth (hotter the better) let it sit for a min for it to loosen up an wipe clean. You may have to repeat 2-3 times to completely get all the glue an paper off but it works chemical free

Oh, pro tip. Windex removes that sticky stuff. Use a Q-tip dip it in windex and spot test an area that's not visible to make sure it doesn't cause discoloration or peeling or something. After it dries if it dries clean, then spot test a sticky stuff area and repeat test. Then if all is good, clean the whole sticky stuff area!

@steviesells you know you can use a hair blow dryer or a heat gun (I like to use a heat gun bc it literally only takes about 5 seconds) and hover it on top of the sticker of whatever it is you just bought (eg. that shelf you just bought) and heat it up for like 20-30 seconds then peel it off, and it will come off super clean and like it was never there in the 1st place. ❤😊✌️

Beside liquids mentioned by others for adhesive, using a hair dryer or similar item can heat then adhesive enough to cleanly remove it. I use that effectively on books and cases to remove labels.

oil helps remove sticker adhesive. wd40, old english, even cooking oil

For the sticky stuff on your shelf try to use a little bit of lighter fluid on a rag it dissolves that stuff like nothing….

Tip... Rubbing alcohol dissolves most sticker glue. Goo Begone is a product u can get at the dollar store or Wal-Mart.

Use a big soft eraser it cleans off the glue real easy without harsh chemicals just keep rubbing it until it coalesces into some boogies and there you go.
