Widgets were present since "Vista", there was even a dedicated bar in win7, maybe you are too young to remember it. They were removed for security reasons ... There were a lot of really good ones, like the WMP one.

what are you talking about? I have *seven* virtual desktops populated right now and it is an *essential* feature for both my home and my work rig. I would *drop* windows and switch to Linux if they were to remove that feature

not really necessary, but I understand moving start button to the middle with the so many curved monitor up to 49 inches and multi monitor setups
never been a fan of snap as I started with win 3.1 on flobbies and still manually setup windows.
bing and cortana should take The Long Walk with the 32-bit architecture.

Windows 11 looks more and more like a Linux distro

Virtual desktops are the most underutilized feature in Windows. As an experienced Linux user my opinion is that this is due to MS not showing the user properly how to use this feature. For example in KDE and Xfce you see four squares in the bottom and you can click on one of the squares to go to that virtual desktop or you can drag a window on it to send the window there, obviously you can also use hotkeys for that. Microsoft neglected to make it sufficiently clear in the GUI that this feature exists and how to use it.

- is it lighter / faster than Win10?
- does it improve ReFS still further?
- can we save Sandbox environment?

I have a Aorus Master X570 MB, Ryzen 5950X, 128GB Ram, 14 TB storage and the windows app says I cant run w11? If all the best new stuff wont run w11 what will?
