My Mother always apologized. Didn’t matter what age I was. Now I do the same with my daughter. Children are kind of like guests we invite to join us on earth. Treat them with respect, kindness and compassion.

You are SO blessed. My mom was one of those " children should be seen not heard"

Ahh that's so beautiful. I wish I had that with my mother. Never felt enough or could be the real me. Cherish that bond. 😊

That was very beautifully stated. Your mom sounds awesome.

That's amazing for you. That is exactly why I don't have a relationship with my parents. I was an only child who could never please or meet the unreasonable expectations of my parents. I was never good enough, sweet enough, smart enough or successful enough. Basically not

My mom just treated me like an actual person lol. She listened to me, she respected my thoughts, feelings, and opinions without trying to change them or correct them if she didn’t agree.

My mom was the same. She was everyone's cheerleader. Any friend of ours that was having a hard time at home? She's there with open arms. My husband had a falling out with his mom over something stupid, his mom refused every olive branch and just scolded him. "He's my son. I love my son."

My mother's funeral was packed, people were standing along the walls and spilling into the hallway. I miss her daily but her goofiness lives on in my youngest. Her kindness and sensitivity lives on in my oldest.❤

My mamma never gave up on me even after some pretty messed up things that I did and went through... She always listened to me and gave wonderful advice, even when I didn't want to hear it...And I would give Anything to have her back with me earth side and there is not a day that goes by where I don't think about her... I would be so incredibly happy just to feel her hug me, she gave the greatest hugs.. Love you MAMMA and I will see you when The Lord Brings me Home 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

My mother was like this, she was truly the most supportive person I’ve ever met. I lost her 9 months ago and it hurts every day. Bless you and your sweet Mama. ❤️

So, Im the Mom... I have 4 kids and ALL 4 of my kids tell me EVERYTHING... like EVERYTHING... I hear all the TMI. My kids are -
22 years old
21
18
16
How the kids became really close to me....? I NEVER EVER judge them. I protect them from making huge mistakes by telling them my past mistakes on their level. Sometimes, they make big mistakes and I always help them get through it. They can ask me whatever they want. No limits.

Unfortunately, my mom passed away from stage four colon cancer at only 43 years old. My mom was barely 19 years old when she had me and when I say that I’m mean, she turned 19 like two weeks before I was born. She was a young mom, and she had already gone through a lot, and after her and my dad split up, she did everything in her power to see me even if I didn’t get to see her. My dad kept me for my mom for two years because he was mad at her and I was deprived of those years with my mom. Just thinking about it makes me cry for all the things. My mom went through including sleeping on the levee just to be able to get a glimpse of me going onto my school bus when I was like 13 that she had slept on the levee with my grandma for 3 straight days just to be able to maybe catch a glimpse of me. My mom was an incredible mom and there’s not a minute of any day that I don’t think about her and wish that she was still here so please if you have that still here take advantage of it take advantage of spending as much time with your mom as you can Because you don’t have her wish that you did. 😢❤

Would be nice to not feel judged by your own mother, whole family even. But it especially sucks knowing if you walk out of a room or just aren’t around all of the horrible things that are being said about you.

I appreciate that my Mama didn't know exactly why I was such a crazy kid, but she loved me regardless. Also...the way that girls present with ADHD makes a lot of sense now haha.

My mom God rest her soul accepted me, I was the heller out of 6 kids. I skipped school, I quit, I got pregnant at 19 from an abusive pile . But I still have ill feelings with her making me marry him when I wasn't in love with him, although she didn't know he was very abusive. I miss her a lot, especially now that I've been alone 9 years and feel super lost 😢

My mom was not able to say I love you never so now I want to break that cycle when I say I love you it's super hard for her to say it back maybe her parents never did
