You can't just do the owl joke yourself! What are we supposed to write in the comments?

You turned what was probably one of the funniest examples of false identification into a cute sea monster with a plausible backstory.

I was thinking surely a misidentified whale or porpoise, but then WHAM! Friggin' plastic. Shows how easy it is to let the ol imagination have a field day.

guess an owl asked a basking shark to quietly take the thing from the guy's boat and leave it in the cave.

The creature clearly wasn't an owl but E. L. Wallace himself

I suggest you all visit the Greek islands and check it out. We have more monsters to be discovered. Cyclops, Giants, Gryphons, Chimeras, Flying horses, Sea Horses, Sirens, Mermaids (Alexander's Sister), birds with metal claws, the Hydra with the 9 heads, Cerberus, Minotaur and the list goes on. And if you meet Hermes, ask him for the Golden plate armour of Hephaestus. You need to learn some ancient Greek though. But even if none of the above happens, you will enjoy your holidays and if you are lucky you will meet Aphrodite, or Apollo.

Oddly the first people to identify this object as a boat bumper were cryptozoologist. Many people interested in cryptozoology use science and the scientific method

It's clearly a Hydraraptor. My cousin was eaten by a Hydraraptor last year. But all I was able to get were grainy dark photos. But don't worry I still have 24 more cousins. And I have a better camera now.

Honestly I can’t unsee it as some weird dolphin thing, even though that plastic shit is actually what it is my eyes still refuse to accept it.

Wait, so now all of a sudden it's _not_ an owl?? Dammit, Trey the Explainer, I thought that here finally, _finally_ I'd found another mammal willing to stand up and speak the truth about the Conspiracy of Owls, but there you go, betraying your taxonomic class to cozy up to these infidious avians.

I should have seen it coming, when you tried to blame Flatwoods on poor, innocent macrocephalian zoon, in an obvious backpedal. What was it, Trey the Explainer? What made you sell out your own kind? What did they offer you? Was it the semi-digested rodent remains? The asymmetrical ears? No. We know you, Trey the Explainer. We know exactly why you sold us out.

It was the feathers, wasn't it. Damn it all...I should have thought of the feathers...

I love your videos, but in this case, two minor points. First, for what it's worth, the guy did not see the object and then take the picture. He was photographing the sea cave and only spotted the image later, when the pictures were developed. Also, if you look at the second photograph, you can barely see where there might be two eyes and a mouth. It's all very water-distorted, but there is a blob on one side and a blob on the other, and a wider shape underneath them. This "face" seems closer to the surface than a separate rounded mass behind it. It also looks an awful lot like the boat bumper you showed! Whatever it is, it is apparently pretty small due to the little bubbles on the surface, which would be not far above it. Bottom line, on a scale of 1 to 10, Corfu Creature rates about a 2. Which is still head and shoulders above any other cryptid case I can recall.

Fascinating how you are able to come up with these ideas. The design for the Manati/weird hippo-thing that watches you when you sleep looks like it could actually exist.
