iPhone 5 Major Problems

We've come across multiple issues with the iPhone 5 over the past month or so. These problems include hardware issues such as lock buttons breaking, and software glitches that cause the phone to reboot.

I've had my iPhone 5 now for 18 months. After two updates my phone seems to run normally as when I first got it but with iOS 8 I find the phone vibrates randomly and sometimes doesn't notify me when I get text messages and phone calls. My mom has the iPhone 5s and hers does the exact same thing... :/

On my iphone 5 Iv'e had the brightness glitch, then my volume button stopped working, and just recently my home button stopped working. coincidence that Apple has a way to set an auxiliary home button on the screen? I think not. I take immaculate care of my electronics, no abuse whatsoever. Apple is starting to put out inferior products with problems that they know are lurking inside.

Got the iPhone 5 over a week ago and haven't had any problems with it. I just put a pass code lock on it to see if there was any problem with mine too, but couldn't find anything. I do know that Apple did stop stock in stores and replaced them with newer models to repair any glitches or errors...

Good informative video. Actualy now i've realised that the brightness glitch has been present since the 3GS and still not resolved. The same as my 4 too.

The lock button issue I've never had. The bluetooth glitch I don't think happens anymore, but I haven't tested it. The app store keyboard glitch was fixed in 6.0.1. The passcode glitch, I haven't had it. I do notice when you shake the iPhone 5 it makes a faint rattling noise lol.

The problems really don't get in the way of anything, and I love the iPhone 5 :)

The last one happens-the low brightness-to me quite frequently. Have you figured out a way to get the brightness back up? It always comes back on eventually, but can sometimes take several hours.

I've never had any of those issues, except 2 times I had the brightness issue. Though all I had to do was lock my phone and it fixed. I also have that screen clicking issue, which I don't think I saw in this video.

You should. They released software updates to fix these bugs. The only problem I've found is with my iPhone 5, the screen in the corner is weak and can easily be pushed in the phone. I'm sure you can find youtube videos about it. It may be unique to the black iPhone 5. It's usually not noticable though. In 3 months I've only had the brightness bug twice. Honestly, it's well worth getting it.

I have a question if this is a hardware problem and if you return it do you have to pay a deduction fee? I'm with AT&T

The brightness glitch comes standard on every iPhone dating back to the one. I'm not sure why that is but it doesn't seem to be a software problem. A quicker fix than going into the settings is to just tap the sleep/wake button twice

I haven't encountered any of the problems with my iPhone 5 that you have with yours other than the power lock button. Apple immediately replaced my iPhone once I addressed my issue to them.

Have you had any problems with the screen on the iphone 5 turning pink after opening the camera? Happend to me two times today. Bought the phone one week ago. I googled it and it looks like lots of people have the same problem..

I have the iphone 5 also and when you guys are talking about the brightness going all the way down it does the same becaise my finger is blocking the lil black dot right next to the ear piece on the front of the phone. You can fix that by just covering the black dot again and then move ur finger away quickly.

I've got the white one had for around 7months now. Only problem I've had is the signal got stuck once when turned it on. Just stayed on Thought might been sim but wasn't it just locked up. It was under warranty so didnt really care too much. I've had none of these problems in video. I will say preferred the iphone4 it felt bulkier and better made ( just my opinion) I sometimes feel if we're to drop my iPhone 5 it would just shatter.

I need some advice ! The lock button on my iPhone 5 goes in and out . And stops completely working sometimes. Then my camera will focus and go completely blurry, then the screen will go to the lowest brightness by itself and then I have to toggle with the brightness to get it back right. I still have my hardware warranty until November. What will Apple do? Will they replace my phone ?

I've only ever had the birghtness issue and i've had the iphone 5 since it came out. all the other issues your talking about have never happened to me. i guess it depends onn your luck, but i've had nothing but good luck. i've only had ONE iphone 5 and it doesnt really have problems

My white iPhone 5 has the same glitch with the keyboard! It has been giving some problems! Should I got to apple and have them give me a new iPhone?

When you buy an iPhone, do you need to connect it to iTunes for it to work first?

If the phone won't accept phone calls and keeps playing music what's up?? Any fix if you don't have a lap top to sync it with?
