Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer vs Dyson Airwrap | 2B-2C Curly Hair!

Since you guys absolutely LOVED my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer tutorial, I'm putting it to the test against the super popular, trending Dyson Airwrap! Everyone raves about the Airwrap, but does it REALLY work on naturally curly hair?! I had to find out!! I have 2B-2C wavy/curly hair, so I hope this tutorial helps if you have a similar hair type to me, or are just curious to see how these tiktok hair tools compare to each other! I swore by the revlon for my thick virgin 2b hair. I used it once a week and it changed my life with how beautiful and manageable it made my hair. And then after a year I went to the hairdresser and she cut off 1 foot of super damaged hair at the ends. I’ve switched to the dyson and it gives me the same results in the same amount of time but my hair looks and feels so much softer and healthier!

I have both of these and really curly hair. I love the Dyson so much just because it’s so much gentler on my hair, much less damage over time! Also, pro tip, I got my Dyson refurbished from Dyson for much much less (still more than the Revlon but worth it to me at least!)

Revlon looks better to me! I think the ends look smoother and less split-end like! I could not justify spending that much even with all the attachments! Xoxo

I have both and I think the Revlon is great. If you just want the one look and don't have the money to spend on the AirWrap you won't be disappointed with the Revlon. The results from the two are the same. I am very glad you compared them using the smoothing brush as so many YouTubers use the round brush attachment, and that does not give the same smooth sleek look. I use that to finish the ends if I want more bend at the end, but to compare with the Revlon you do have to use the flat Smoothing Brush. However for me it is the damage to my hair, and also that I end up v hot and sweaty with arm ache using the Revlon. However, like I say, it is a great tool and you definitely don't need to feel you are missing out if you can't afford the AirWrap.

I watched your video and bought dyson. I have revlon and it gets really hot and it damages hair. I am pretty sure dyson doesn’t do that. It is like comparing Ferrari and Honda. Both get you from point A to point B, but they don’t look the same and just not even close the same. As much as I wanted Revlon to compare. It doesn’t. Even in your video. I could see dyson is sleeker and glides through your hair. And it is just 1 attachment.
Update. I’ve got dyson. Can’t compare them at all. Dyson is soooo much better. Less damaging. And curling is a total new game.
I understand it is expensive and everybody is hesitant. I was too for a while trying to justify the price. It is worth it. It is so much more superior.

I have both and I LOVE my dyson! I use the tool you use first and then I take the round brush to add volume and bounce to my hair!

Girl! I would love to see you try a selection of all the different brands that make these kind of thing... I know amiika and drybar both have super nice ones and I mean those are salon quality brands so they gotta be kinda good right and they are waaayyy cheaper than the dyson but pricier than the revlon so could be a nice middle of the road deal

Love this! I’ve had the revlon for awhile and really like using it sparingly because I do feel like it tugs. However, I’m going to save up for the Dyson because having all those attachments in one is game changing.

The revlon dryer has so much hype now. I got it when it wasn’t popular yet and after two uses I returned it. I sometimes wonder if I need to give it another try but my hair seemed instantly damaged and broken after using it and it was so loud. I do have finer hair so idk maybe that’s why it wasn’t for me. Wish I liked it. Would love to try the dyson on but that price tag is so steep. Loved the comparison video though very informative.

I have curly textured color-treated hair and I use smoothing until it is 70-80% dry then switch to the round brush for further smoothing and getting the roots. I think the round brush gives the look of a blowout love my Dyson and use it frequently. I do use it on my dry hair after working out since I don’t wash my hair daily and also anytime my hair needs a little smoothing. I tried the Revlon brush and it was too hot and caused breakage. Thank goodness for Olaplex!!!

You should try the Amika one! I have it and love it. It's about $100 and basically looks exactly the same as the Revlon. Would love to see how those compare!

I definitely see a difference on both sides! I prefer the dyson cuz your hair looks healthier and shiny! but its way too pricey for me HAHAHA but they both look so good!

Just an FYI, Revlon makes a paddle brush hair dryer that doesn't have the boar bristles. I use that one

I really want to invest in a revlon one—but I’ve heard so many reviews that they over heat and smoke, or break within the first few uses.

I JUST bought a hot tools one from Walmart last month and the heating element already broke on the fifth use—-so I’m really looking for one that will actually sustain long sessions of use (I have curly, course hair)
