The most heartbreaking stories are the one where the side character no one really hears about is the one telling it. Like in 300. I want more stories where the good guys save the world but there’s only one person left standing and it isn’t the main character or the immediate group. It’s that one character no one hates but there just isn’t much to know about them. Like the army groups who used to either rescue or abduct children and adopt them into their ranks. Either as bed warmers, helping hands, or to save them from their circumstances. Depending on the kind of story.

The Author's POV is sorta like this at the beginning, the mc is the author of the story he ends up with, and when he goes into the story he gets a physical magical copy of his book (aka, the story he's inhabiting) but it only gets filled in little by little as the story progresses and can only "see" 10 minutes into the future, so the MC tries to correct mistakes that would derail the story when he sees them in the book 10 minutes in advance.
