I know this is sponsored but I would have really liked a comparison to the XM4 or XM5 since they would probably be the closest competitors (preferably the XM4s because of the form factor)

The only thing preventing me from upgrading from my QC35s is that new Bose products don’t let you turn noise cancelling completely off. It’s such a waste of battery life having it on all the time if you use yours mostly in a home office environment like me and the lack of ambient sounds with noise cancelling on makes me feel so uneasy. If they added the option to turn it completely off like the QC35s, I would 100% upgrade.

I've had QC35 for 6 years now. best headphones I've used. still sound amazing and still fit perfectly. build quality is top notch and I've switched the ear muffs twice. Definitely worth buying Bose

Love that Bose kept the Ultra being able to fold to be more compact. I'll probably switch from my XM3s since the new XM5s can't fold as compactly as my XM3s

I was just in Best Buy considering these. They positioned the demo unit in front of the home theater department where a sound system was just blasting music. Figured I wouldn’t be able to really demo the headphones. I put them on and instantly I couldn’t hear the music playing right behind me, even with nothing playing on the headphones. Very impressive, even for someone who used their old QC’s.

Still using my QC35's from 7+ years ago. Still work great, and hard to find a upgrade from them that I like.

I just purchased these upgrading from Sony WH-1000XM3's that I have had since 2019. I found an open box pair at best buy for $275... I live in a VERY noisy environment above a loud bar (Sucks but the rent is right lol) and I am just blown away by the ANC on these units. When you put them on you can literally feel the world melt away. Its neat how the ANC ramps up from a neutral airy sound to full on silence when you put them on. Not even the Sony's could completely get rid of the bass from the live music going on under my feet. They blow the XM3s out of the water. I had purchased the XM5's and returned them because they didn't seem to be much of an upgrade over the XM3. I felt like the XM5's had trouble canceling out the low frequencies and at times even the fan sound from my AC, there was always a high pinched hollow sound to them. before I got the Bose I just figured that was just something that could not be filtered out. . The ANC which is the most important feature aside from the sound quality of course for me. And I am very happy with my purchase. I do feel like the Sony XM3's have more bass but the Bose have a more rich sound overall. I do miss the feature where you can put your hand over the right cup and get instant Ambiant passthrough. Although its really just a party trick which I rarely actually use but it was nice to have. I had mastered the touch controls on the XM3.

I’m running the QC35 ii and 5 years later with some new cups, still solid.

"Ultra", "max", "super" now are literally in every single product. They never heard about "with everyone super, no one will be".
And for god sake, it doesn't matter how how many names you give to polyurethane, it doesn't become leather, cotton or anything else, except polyurethane.
Marketing successfully achieved points to where i close this ad on 3 minute.

First video of yours I've watched. You're very funny and entertaining. Thank you for the video!

It is really smart of you guys to put the price all the way at the end. I watched the whole video being somewhat interested before finding out the price and nearly choking on my bag of .99 cent great value potato chips.

Literally watchign this with my bose QC25. Got these on discount when the QC35 came out... I've had these for 6 years, replaced the ear pads 3x and have literally taken naps with these things on. I wear them most of the time at work and the comfort on them.

A comparison to the Sony XM4 and XM5 would be amazing, especially to see which noice cancellation works better. I'm travelling a lot, so noice cancellation is a very big deal for me (and probably also for others)

Bose has reached a price point that’s creeping to close for comfort to much higher end competitors. Hard to justify imo.

You can tell he has never daily driven Bose QC headphones because at the 2 minute mark he mentions the "protein leather ear cups" (fake leather) not coming out easily; everyone who has ever owned a pair will tell you how you are replacing those ear cups within two years.

I bought the BOSE QC35ii headphones in 2018 and they are the best headphones I have ever had. Works flawlessly still to this day. The ear muffs are work a hit but I can replace them for $20. Will buy the QuietComfort Ultra's when these ones die.

I never, ever, forget my first expensive headset from Sennheiser and now these days those would not even make it in my lot of headsets. They're everywhere, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and find a pair half on my head (falling asleep to some nice tunes is so relaxing). When I was a whee lad, I only played music loud, now I listen to the nuances.

Be very careful putting these back in the case. If you shove them in without returning the headband to the default shortest size, the sharp part of the hinge will damage the soft leather on the inside of the headband. Also the touch bar increments is finicky, so it can get really annoying if you only want a single step up or down. Also the wear detection doesn’t function well if taking off and putting them on a bunch of times within a few seconds. Basically a gimmick compared to airpods. Immersion mode is also pretty crappy compared to airpods.
Sound and noise cancellation quality is great though so if those other things don’t bother you, you’ll likely love them.
I returned mine after 2 days and got the regular quietcomforts.

I felt bad last year buying the QC45's for 350 bucks... Bose continues to be ridiculous with their prices and it makes me regret even more buying my current headset. I don't have any issues with it, I just hate being part of the metric telling Bose these prices are OK.
