Disturbing fact: Stepehnson-18 is not the largest BUT the largest we found, so far..

It means there are more stars that we still not discover that might actually more bigger than stephenson

Can u imagine how small we are.

The nuclear explosions preventing it from collapsing on it's own weight must be immense

Space really gives true meaning to the quote "There's always a bigger fish in the sea" 🌌

I like our Sun. It just perfect for me. Not too big not too small. 😅

According to my calculations, if the sun can fit 1.3m earths inside it and can fit 8m suns inside stephenson 2-18. The amount of earth inside stephenson 2-18 is 10.4t.
To get the answer, we will use multiplication operation.
Here is the Solving:

1 sun= 1.3m earths
1 biggest star in the universe=8m suns

if we multiply the amount of earth inside 1 sun to 8m suns in 1 biggest star, we should have the total of earth inside stephenson 2-18

1, 300, 000x8, 000, 000 is equal to...
1.04e13 or 1.04e+13
10.4t or 10, 400, 000, 000, 000

Therefore, there are 10.4 trillion earths in 8million suns inside stephenson 2-18.

Remember when UY Scuti or VY Canis Majoris was the largest? Hearing about those for the first time was mind-blowing, and we just keep finding bigger ones.

We are lucky that our son is relatively small because this means it will last longer u see large stars die younger 😂

Stephenson-218 is by far the biggest star we’ve ever seen. Being a Quasi Star, its size is so great that the shape is irregular. Quasi Stars often do have a black hole inside as well, consuming all the fusion left.

In about 3 and a half billion years our sun becomes a red giant too and the earth gets roasted.

This is a testament to how far the planets are from the sun and each other.

Compared to SOME other stars...

Ol' Sol is actually in the upper quintile of star sizes. This is because MOST stars are red dwarfs.
