I order one, I'll be using it with the new iphones, my iphone now. Plus I still have my big battery packs for when I actually need it or my laptop needs it.
This is future proof for iphones, and airpods can be charge as well.

I use it differently as I have it as a secondary battery, fully charging phone and pack I keep it attached and the iPhone uses the pack battery first and gets me through the day and the iPhone battery is treated as the reserve. This is why the 5 watt is more than enough as you do not need anymore to run your phone. It saves battery cycles as the battery pack feeds directly to the phone. It negates the heating issue with wireless charging and is more efficient as the draw is lower. No other wireless battery pack does this.

Also, you can get thin magnetic strips that you can stick to your Magsafe Case that will stop the bottom half from sliding as much. They are black so get a black case so they do not show up when the pack is not attached.

Apple getting us primed for a portless iPhone and although not perfect yet, the MagSafe standard looks like a good feature. Price is expensive but you are paying for the clever touches and the MagSafe compatibility which the competition does not have.

Also this is meant to be for your on the go, like have t in the back of your phone all day or take it off. put the magsafe wallet, or keep the battery pack and leave it on all day. Is not meant to be a fast charger...!

Android user here, So it's a glorified power bank which cost more than 1/4 of pixel 4a which magnetically sticks to iPhone? Advantage being that you could use the iPhone while being wirelessly charged? But don't mind the 100+ grams weight? Correct?

The way I see it, this battery pack is worth it mainly for iPhone mini users.
