I cut springs on many vws years ago in my 20s. Worked fine. Now in my late 40s. St coilovers. I’ve found are the best on mk1. Tried many !!

Everyone seems to have different opinions and experiences when it comes to cutting springs. My dad and I cut 2.5 coils all round off our rabbit and we've never had any problems, the car doesn't even bump and we changed shocks once in 9 years. Car looks fresh and I love the content broeh.

I used to be on cut springs for half a year it had no problems but my back suffered a bit

I've got koenig 40s it's not the greatest looking as it's not as low I would like but the ride is excellent . Gives an amazing ride... Given you have 15s on.will keep up with your channel👍

cut the front 1and 1/2 and the back 2 and 1/2, it levels out nice, and the ride is smoother than with coil overs

How low are you looking to go with the lowering kit?? We cut my friends golf springs not so long ago 3 coils in front and 2 at the back car was way to low and every little bump in the road we were bouncing everywhere
