Wet 'n Wild Orlando - Der Stuka | Extreme Free Fall Water Slide Onride POV

The legendary "Der Stuka" water slide at Wet 'n Wild Orlando in Florida, United States. Der Stuka is a 76" high speed slide and belongs to the fastest rides in the park. Just next to Der Stuka, you will find the "Bomb Bay" which is the same slide but with a launch capsule at the start. Unfortunately, this slide is out of order and will most likely never open again. You can't even see the slide on the park map anymore.

Wet 'n Wild Orlando is closing forever on December 31, 2016.

Der legendäre Stuka im Wet 'n Wild Orlando in Florida, USA. Der Stuka ist eine über 23 Meter hohe Freefall-Rutsche und gehört zu den schnellsten Bahnen des Parks. Gleich nebenan befindet sich die zweite Steilrutsche "Bomb Bay", welche identisch zum Stuka ist, allerdings mit einer Falltür beginnt. Leider ist letztere Rutsche außer Betrieb und wird vermutlich nie wieder öffnen, auch auf dem Parkplan ist sie nicht mehr eingezeichnet.

Wet 'n Wild Orlando schließt am 31. Dezember 2016 für immer seine Pforten.

Did the Stuka back in the 90s. The operator said he would release the door on 3 but he did it on 2. I've never forgotten the terror

Der Stuka was great managed to go on this 4 times in a row on 08/08/2016.

Fun fact, there's another waterpark in Arlington, TX called Six Flags Hurricane Harbor that used to be a Wet n' Wild and it also has a slide called Der Stuka as well. Not only that but did you know that The Bomb Bay originally didn't have a trap door and that it was originally also a regular speed slide like Der Stuka until the trap door was added shortly afterwards? Well, the same goes for the one at Hurricane Harbor as that one had a trap door added to one of their slides in 2011 but it was renamed Dive Bomber instead of Bomb Bay.

Doesnt look much but you feel literally like you are going to come out of it as you go over the edge and most people lose their pants lol

I believe this slide is manufactured by Fred Langford's Surf Coaster Corporation, who built a lot of the park original slides. This manufacture was the first to build waterslides out of fiberglass.

I actually found this scarier than Bomb Bay because it takes a lot of nerves to push yourself down the slide while seeing how tall and steep the drop is.
