Nice, I saw this new line of meters on Gossen's website, but didn't realize it was re-branded Rishabh. I tried to find a seller of Rishabh a few months ago but gave up. I do have a Gossen Metrawatt Metrahit M240o OUTDOOR DMM on the way from TEquipment. It's the same as their Metrahit X-TRA but is ruggedized IP65. I'm a handheld DMM freak and been on quite the binge buying the last few months 😉

Gossen do make nice apparatus. I have just picked up another one of their insulation testers. I believe the system to block the input jacks of the meter, was patented by Gossen many years ago. Look forward to seeing it being tested TETC.

I have seen some German YouTubers using tha brand.. Seems pretty nice. Some tests that I really think separates a cheap meter is seeing how it handle dirty power. A lot of cheap 12v to 120v inverters make ugly sine waves. A good meter should read it no problem. Another good test is get a 9v ac power adapter and combine it with a 5v DC power adapter. That will confuse a cheap meter. A good meter will separate the voltages no problem. I also wanted to say that I'm glad you show so many meters. The technical side is where the smart electrician is thinking. As you get older you want to use your brain and not be doing hardcore labor outside.

Very good meter the DM62, although its CAT IV rating of 600V is a bit inferior respect to other brands.

It was about time for Gossen to have reasonable priced meters in its catalog.

I had seen a channel where a expensive Gossen Metrawatt Metrahit ultra is nearly put down to a garbage level due to sensitivity to magnetic fields.
Personally, I own a Metrahit energy and I think it's great. It measures DC and AC power.
Yes, those metrahits are sensitive to strong magnetic fields, but a warning is written in the manual.

It's a matter of where you use the meter and how.

There is a saying here: "el mal mecánico culpa a la herramienta" (the bad mechanic blames the tool).

On the other hand, the terminal shutters are present on DM62 at a reasonable price. I have a low priced chinese Mastech MS815 that has the shutters, but the input protection...run away!

The shutters seem a good idea, but they are useless if, for example, you put the meter in current with leads connected and suddenly you get distracted and measure voltage (!!).

But that's the german way: Why do it easy when you can do it the hard way?

Iso-tech was a brand of rs components they no longer use that name, they now re brand their import meters as rs pro, the green boots are now red,

Looks an ok meter but but this kind of thing would put me off buying a gossen, you think your buying german quality goods but really your not, shame really 🤔
