I love the lut first day using it…only thing what would you recommend for removing color banding..i was shooting in log h.265 i was outside i had a nd filter im a beginning but in each video the sky had banding …i know its a me thing and not the lut but any tips?

I'm curious, is there a significant difference between using log in the standard camera app and log in the Blackmagic Camera app, or are they the same log format with difference user interfaces for operating the camera?

I don’t have the 15 yet but I am getting it soon. I keep seeing people talk about Apple Log and LUTs and show the before and after but never the in between. I shot in ProRes but how do I APPLY the LUTs to get the final result?? Do I need a third party app?

Is this all in ProRes (through the BlackMagic Camera app)? Would love to grab an iPhone 15 pro to use Apple Log but don't want to lug around an external SSD for those huge 5gb/minute files.

Dumb question - are you able to record with the black magic app with the LUT applied? Or you have edit the footage externally and then add the LUT there?

Finally. I was unable to find one until now. Directly got it from u. Works perfectly. I’m on 15 pro max and need it for a TV production (documentary) with an ultra low key setup. Its technically aspect is approved by the broadcaster and that’s my first paid commercial job on a smartphone.

It's interesting but I'm not sure when you would choose to use this? - Tony Northrup tested this, resolution wise, the 15 Pro resolves around the same detail as an 8-10 megapixel camera (i.e. less then the 12 megapixel A7S III once you remove the artificial sharpening - this is in photos, worse in video). As for the lenses, you are getting 13mm f/10, 24mm f/6.3 and 77mm f/24 (120mm f/21 on the Max) fixed aperture equivalents to full frame, that's incredibly limiting. When would you ever go for a 120mm f/21 lens, seems useless.
